I had my cats checked out at Banfield today and got some pricing information that I would like to share with you guys. If you want to compare prices with other veterinary clinics on the basic checkups and meds, this would be a good reference.

Before I start, I’d like to mention about the service I received at Banfield in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The doctor was very helpful and honest about all the problems our cats had. She gave us many options and never pushed us for expensive tests. We were very satisfied with her work.

The below information is based on charges for adult cats:

General Medical Treatment:

Intestinal Parasite Fecal Exam – $25.62

Vaccine – Feline Distemper FVRCP – $21.95

Vaccine – Feline Leukemia Virus – $21.95

Vaccine – Feline Rabies Virus – $15.95

Office Visit – $35.95

Ear Cleaning – $17.14

Pyrantel Pamoate Dewormer 50mg/ml – $14.26

Otoscopic Exam (Look into the ears) – $13.50

Ear Swab & Microscopic Exam – $29.83

Additional Physical Exam – $22.95

Blood test – $126.50

Cat Flu Medication:

Antibiotics, oral Clavamox Drops – $29.32

Ear mite medication:

Ivermectin .01% Otic Suspension – $34.61

Tresaderm 7.5 ml – $35.14

Eye medication:

Trithalmic Ophthalmic Ointment – $22.84

Eye Irritating Solution, Sterile, 4 oz – $7.19

Banfield offers Wellness Plan which provides 4 different plans: Primary, Basic, Basic Plus and Optimum. Depending on your cat’s need, you can choose a plan to help you save costs. Here is the details of the plans.
