I have 8 indoor cats that I have been feeding primarily grain free foods to for over 4 years. I was fortunate enough to be a test feeding house-hold for a prototype diet that was based on the fact that cats cannot break down grain and do poorly on the grain derived protein. I personally experienced one foster cat that had chronic urinary tract infections her entire life until we changed her over to grain-free cat food.
