Mina the cat fostering new rescued kitten, Peep
Two feral kittens were rescued in a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. They are now under excellent foster care by two lovely feline foster mom and dad, Mina (mom) and Fritz (dad) who are also rescues.
“Our neighbors Amy and Lynn found them while helping with TNR at a feral colony in Brooklyn. They said the funny thing about the colony is that most of the cats are black and white. Meep (a girl) and Peep (her brother) were sick and underfed, but after a week of good meals and medicine they are blooming,” said Theresa Mershon.
“Meep is a tiny purr machine, and she loves to sit on my shoulder. Mina was desperate to snuggle her, and she follows her around whenever Meep comes out to play. Peep is much bigger and stronger than Meep, but he gets startled easily. Whenever he’s spooked he fluffs up and guards his little sister. Hopefully we can find them a home together, because they don’t like being out of each other’s sight.”
“Fritz learned to take care of the kittens from Mina. Fritz was a foster kitten once too, we adopted him to be Mina’s friend. When we got new foster kittens, Fritz growled at them. But when he saw how Mina took care of them, he decided he could love them too. He carries them around by the scruff of their necks and plays with them very gently.”

Meep and Peep love to play and explore together

Mina keeps an eye on the rescued kittens

Meep is a sweet little girl who purrs whenever you pick her up. She is half the size of her brother, but she's smarter and better at climbing than he is.

Meep

Peep is very handsome, and his coat is beautiful. He looks like he's wearing a suit and tie. He guards his little sister whenever he is startled. He peeps away at you in a conversational manner.

Peep

"I will wash you now." Mina going in for a lick.

"I will take care of you little one." Fritz loves Peep

I loved your pictures . You have a beautiful kitty family. I am a foster mom as well and am looking to find a foster home for 6 kittens. If you have any ideas please email me . Thank you Jennifer bengtembrey@msn.com
this is so heartwarming~ =)
anyway, can i foster a baby kitten from a wild cat which had five babies? i thnk there must a weakling in one of them. can my pet cat (which had already have two babies) foster one baby from the wild cat? will she not accept the baby?
so sweet….warms my heart.
Males make wonderful foster "mums". My male helped a lot with the newborns. Once weaned off the bottle they became his babies.
The older kittens would come in an be scared of him for the first day or two and he would tip toe around them so he wouldn't startle them. Within a couple of days they were sleeping on top of him. Sadly we are no longer able to foster and Xander misses his babies.
Mina is very very beautiful, her color makes her glow!!! A cat beautiful inside & outside. Hugz.
Mina, Fritz, Meep, and Peep are soooooo sweet and adorable! I wish I could just hug and kiss them!!!
