Marmalady is a happy ginger girl who lives just like other cats, but she is special. She is a tri-paw kitty who has an amazing story.

Marmalady was found as a kitten in the bushes. "The cat was just lying there panting and we thought perhaps she needed water as it was very hot," said Lindsay. Still not realizing the cat was injured Lindsay picked her up and was quite startled when the cat’s leg flopped over her arm! “It was just hanging there!” she exclaimed. They immediately drove the injured kitty to Lindsay’s house and contacted the Cat House on the Kings and Lynea instructed her to bring the kitten to the Cat House right away.

Lynea and employee,Venessa Gamboa, jumped into action and immediately began to administer life-saving treatment. After stabilizing the kitten, Tammy Barker was called to provide care for the little ginger. She brought the injured kitty, now called Marmalady, to New Village Pet Hospital in Selma. Dr Luz Piel said that Marmalady had a severe compound fracture in her front leg. The damage to her leg was very severe and the only solution was amputation.

Marmalady became a little tripod kitty.

Marmalady remained in foster care with Tammy who lovingly nursed her back to health. On October 5th, Marmalady’s carefully chosen new mommy arrived to pick her up. Laura Lemieux drove all the way from British Columbia, Canada to pick up Marmalady.

The Divine Miss ‘M’, with her big-as-saucers eyes, perpetual ‘smile’ and captivating personality continues to enthrall the hearts of the world.

Thanks to the volunteers from the Cat House on the King, who never gave up on Marmalady, she now lives a happy life and gets to share her story with the world.
