"It's a miracle," Uranie Roberts said after her beloved pet cat Porsche disappeared after the devastating Superstorm Sandy but somehow made an amazing journey to travel 8 miles through storm destruction, traffic and even over a bridge to get back to his original home.
"He got out of the house and that was the last we saw of him," said Carol Baumann, Uranie's daughter via NBCphiladelphia.
They thought they lost him for good until Wednesday when they reunited with a familiar sound of meowing coming from the back deck of their Toms River home. "I saw the green eyes and I said, 'My God in heaven, it's Porsche!"
"It's just amazing how he found his way home. I wish he could talk."
Porsche seems to have been eating. "You could see he was eating. His fur is sleek and soft." The family is just glad to have him back.
"It's wonderful. I missed him so bad," she added.
