Samus is a miracle kitty who has fought against illness since the day she was born. She’s now fully recovered and has found a little brother of a different mother who is very protective of her. It is as if he knows that she needs that extra love for what she’s gone through.
When Samus was born, she had emergency hernia surgery and spent a few weeks recovering before she was able to move into her new home.
“She seems perfectly fine and happy now,” said Justin G. via reddit. Chazz the 1 year old ginger cat took to the 2 month old kitten after they just met a couple of weeks ago. It was like love at first sight.
“They’re both so funny and play together all the time,” Justin added.

This sad little puppy kept crying at the shelter until they put a tiny kitten next to her. “Now, they are best friends. Hopefully they get adopted together.”
“They’re at the shelter I work at in Ohio…. The puppy and the kitty are booth female… The pup’s only 4 or 5 weeks old, so she can’t be adopted for a few weeks,” a staff member of Humane Society serving Crawford County said via reddit.
“They were both strays. The puppy was found at the side of the road and then kitten was left in a box at the shelter.”

A cat adopted a litter of baby rabbits she found in the yard, and started nursing them as her own.
Reddit user AliasLloyd wrote: ”My friend’s cat adopted some baby rabbits. Her kittens got big enough so they gave them away. The cat then found these bunnies and brought them back to the same box that her kittens were in. She’s been nursing them and cleaning them.”
When they tried to take the bunnies back to the rabbit mom, their cat herded them back to the box. “Watching a cat herd a tiny bunny is one of the stranger things I’ve seen…”

These motherless kitties found an unusual new momma at their new home. It’s a rabbit named Marlowe who is also a rescue.
Liz wrote on her flickr page: “Last weekend we had 7 house guests, 6 of them were kittens. Four of those were 5 week old orphans whose mother died a week earlier and the other two were 8 week old rescues. It made the most sense to put them all in the same room as Marlowe since it had the most space for them to play. I was planning to keep Marlowe in his x-pen but the kittens were curious about him so I left his gate open. Pretty soon he was out and about in the room with them and I saw they would get along without harming each other.
That first night I checked in on them to find Marlowe and the kittens camped out together in the pet carrier. He was exactly what they needed and took his role seriously for the three days they shared together. The young kittens seemed to look to him as a substitute for their mother. He let them climb over him, attempt to suckle him, stick their paws on his face, wrap their arms around his ears and in return he groomed them and kept them warm while they slept.”

When cats choose their humans, they will always be there for them whenever they need a paw. An illustrator depicted her cat and their wonderful companionship in the best way she knows how – drawings.
This happened one day…

She wrote on her tumblr: “On the day before my 10th birthday my dad was taking me to the grand opening of a new computer store downtown, and when we were in the car, he asked if I wanted a kitten. I was so excited I couldn’t even say yes; I had been asking for a cat for as long as I could remember.
We went to the Humane Society and they had a litter of striped kittens and I picked out the most adventurous one, who was climbing on the windowsill and staring at the dogs outside. She has been my loyal companion ever since. She turns 16 this year and she is still pretty healthy, though she is much lazier and doesn’t jump on things so much any more.
I have a cardboard box next to my bed that is there specifically as a ‘stepping stool’ to help her to get onto my bed.
…(this is) her and the wonderfulness of our companionship.”

Meet Tino, named for his Tina Turner-esque hair.
Tenth Life found him wandering through an intersection in Imperial, MO, without a mother and didn’t seem to have a home to go to. He was very tiny and dehydrated. When they gently approached the little guy to offer some food, “…he immediately gobbled up whatever we put in front of him,” Tenth Life wrote.
“Tino is sweet, curious and playful, but what we love most of all is his perpetual look of surprise. His wide eyes rarely blink, and that hair is un-tame-able!”

“I can’t believe I am safe and loved now!”
