Mikey is an amazing momma cat who unfortunately lost all three kittens of her own. She found happiness again when she was given three orphan kittens who were in need of some motherly love.

It’s a perfect match! These three abandoned kittens look like mini copies of Mikey.

The eight month old rescue mama cat was depressed after losing her kittens. Unable to bear to see Mikey suffer, Hillary called Dori’s Darlings, a cat rescue organization in Houston for help.

At the same time, foster mom Amanda was caring for three little baby kittens that she just received three days ago. These kittens were a few days old and their umbilical cords were still attached.

Amanda and another volunteer, Kelli, were feeding and caring for the kittens around the clock. When they learned about Mikey’s story, they offered to bring the kittens to the grieving mother cat.

“I have some babies for you so you can be a mommy again,” Amanda said to Mikey. (Huffington Post)

Immediately after Amanda placed the kittens in front of the cat mother, Mikey started hugging and grooming them as if they were her own. After a good bath session, Mikey laid down on her side to let the kittens nurse on their new mama.

The fact that the kittens look like their adoptive cat mom is just one of the many reasons that they belong to one another.

“This was just an awful thing she went through (losing all of her babies) and this will be healing for her,” Amanda said.

A tiny rescue kitten has just adopted a tinier orphan kitten. Stitch the cat and Pinky the baby kitten are like each other, two little survivors, who have so much to live for.

Pinky was found in an attic by workers renovating a house. Sadly, she is the only surviving baby. Like Stitch, who is the only one that made it in her litter. When they found each other, it was love at first sight.

Carla the foster mom writes at Facebook: “(At Petco), there was a little girl and her mom with this tiny baby they had for 2 hours. The mom had no idea the baby needs bottle feedings and was buying all kinds of older kitty stuff. She’s a hairdresser and that means 10 hour days!

She asked if there was a place that would take her and her little girl started crying so what could I do? The lady wants her so I will bottle feed her until she’s on wet food.

They are curled up together now sleeping. Pinky is in good health for what she’s been through, about 2 weeks old. She has fleas but we got a lot off at the vet and she had a Dawn bath as soon as I got her home.

She’s very fiesty too! A little survivor like Stitch!

It’s raining kittens at Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA)! Rescue sister cats Kanji and Sushii recently gave birth to twelve little furballs! The two wonderful cat moms are raising their babies together. What a team!

“These mamas are inseparable and share duties caring for their newborns (such as nursing),” VOKRA writes at Facebook.

Kanji and Sushii have been inseparable since day one. They were together when they were pregnant and they are taking care of each other’s fur babies now.  “The mothers are SO loving to each other. They groom each other and nurse each other’s kittens interchangeably. Another bonus, when 1 mother needs a break, the other can be on duty,” said Elaine R. at Facebook.

“We always work hard to adopt bonded pairs together. These mamas sure are a great team, aren’t they?” VOKRA added.

Meet Kanji and Sushii the sister cats. They recently gave birth to 12 kittens and are raising them together.

Meet Colin the runt of his litter orphaned when they were three days old. He is much smaller than his age, but what he lacks in size, he makes up with his personality!

“He is the sweetest little guy,” said Amy Bender, fosterer of Central Oklahoma Humane Society and pet mom of Sauerkraut the cat.

“Colin and his three siblings came to us as foster kittens through Central Oklahoma Humane Society. Their mother rejected them at three days old, so we have been bottle raising them.

Colin is the ‘runt’ of the group, and my personal favorite (shhhh, don’t tell the other kittens). He’s about five weeks old, but developmentally he’s closer to three and a half weeks. I’m hoping he’ll ‘catch up’ once he’s weaned, but even if he doesn’t, he’s still special.”

Little Colin and his siblings will be available for adoption, once they are big enough.

“Colin loves snuggling and play fighting with his sister Enya, though most of the time he bites off way more than he can chew!”
