Raising Eyebrows: Sam the Cat and How He Found His Human

Remember Sam the cat who has distinctive eyebrow like markings? He was spotted abandoned outside a house in New York back in 2012. This little guy with a permanent curious look has become an internet sensation since his pictures first appeared on reddit.

Sam was found as a stray curling up in a ditch near a house. He willingly gave himself up to Amanda Collado who rescued him. “…because he was just so tired of being outside that he didn’t fight her. She went to pick him up, he’s kinda like ‘save me!” said Nette Rodriguez.

He Didn’t Want a Pet, Then He Met This Cat Who Needed a Home… This Will Warm Your Heart!

“I live alone…didn’t want a pet. Workmate suggested she bring a kitten over that needed a home. Been together a year now,” Keith wrote via reddit.

“Since having Roscoe I’ve been calmer, happier and more content. Pain sometimes being woken at 4am to play but overall best decision I ever made,” he added. “My friends all agree I’ve become a crazy cat guy. But certainly having a life to care for has changed me, made me more responsible… And what you put in you get back. Nothing beats a purring ball of fluff sleeping on your chest.”

Worried that the Roscoe might get lonely when he is not home, he takes his cat to his folks’ place nearby while he’s at work. “I packed him off to ‘day care’ at my folks house while I’m at work. Has helped socializing him into a friendly little guy with all the visitors my retired folks get. Was worried he might want to stay with them but when I pull up and he hears my car beeper it’s paws on the front door, meowing away, nose lick and forehead bump without failure. Makes any crappy day into a good day.”

He lived alone and didn’t want to have a pet, then he met Roscoe the cat who needed a home. The two have been together since.

Wally the Happy Rescue Kitty. Look at those Jelly Beans!

Meet Wally! She’s a happy little bottle kitty found from inside a kitchen wall.

The Cat House on the Kings wrote: “SQUEE! This 2.5 week old cutie pie was rescued just today! (She’s now a happy bottle baby at a loving, local foster home.) Since you always ask … her mom is feral (wild) and gave birth to a litter of kittens in someone’s attic. In the process of moving them to a new location, this little girl was dropped by her mom down inside a kitchen wall where the mom couldn’t reach her. The retired homeowner tore a hole in his kitchen wall to rescue the kitten … but mom was long gone. So we stepped in to take over.”

Yay! Look at my jelly beans!

Company Adopts Rescue Cats to Help Employees Unwind and Improve Productivity

A Japanese company in Tokyo hoped to help their employees unwind and increase productivity by adopting rescue cats into their office. In a cramped and hectic city like Tokyo, having a pet is often a luxury. Most apartments do not allow pets and residents have to visit cat cafes to get their pet fix.

The company named Ferray Corporation, an internet solutions business, has taken in nine rescue cats that are allowed to roam freely in the office. They become cute little balls of stress-relief.

According to rocketnews24, the employees think the cats have been an enormous net positive. Office communication has increased dramatically. The cats have brought them together and lowered everyone’s stress.

The company also encourages their workers to bring in their pets, so every day is Bring Your Pet to Work Day. If they don’t have a pet of their own, the company pays out a monthly “cat bonus” of about $42USD to anyone who adopts a cat that needs a home.

Ferray says that the most important quality they look for in new hires is a “love of felines.”

Here are the 9 rescue cats they have adopted:
