Six kittens were found abandoned in a trash bag outside of the Indian Land Walmart. “They are about 8 days old. Ironically we have a female cat that lost her kittens on Thursday, we have put these babies with her and she fell in love,” Indian Land Animal Hospital wrote at Facebook.

“This is so heartwarming for us to watch her cuddle up with these orphans. All of them will need homes in about 7 weeks. They are so precious.”

“The 6 kittens are doing very well. They have names: Lil Jack (the runt), Louie Armstrong, John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, and Cricket. One of the tecnicians said it was their strong voices that saved them.”

“They are nursing but still getting fed by the technicians to supplement them. Sandy loves them so much; as we all do.”

A stray cat who had been living in a burnt down house, came to a family nearby looking for help for her and her two little surprises!

About a month after the house burnt down, a ginger cat started showing up at the house next door looking for food. “(She) was extremely thin and covered in fleas, we couldnt beleive how friendly she was!” Luleymoon writes via YouTube. They named the cat Ginger.

“We took her to the vet to get de-flead and see if she had a microchip, unfortunately she didnt have one and after putting up flyers noone came for her, she also smelt strongly like smoke and had black ash on her so we guessed she was going into the burnt down house.

We noticed she had a swollen belly and engorged nipples, so we assumed she was pregnant, or had had kittens, but with no way of knowing there was not much we could do but make sure she was safe.

About 2 weeks later the house next door was due to be demolished the next day so we knew we had to keep Ginger in the house in case she was living in the burnt down house. We were waiting all day for her to arrive and when she finally did you can imagine our surprise when she brought in a little bundle of ginger joy!

We were a bit shaken up, but she made herself at home in my sister’s sock draw and nestled in, about an hour later when we weren’t looking she went outside and we had a few hours before dark so we weren’t too worried, but when she came back in she had ANOTHER baby! and this one had a badly infected eye.

I think its a small miracle that somehow she knew to bring her kittens into our home, which she had grown to trust, the very night before the demolition,” she adds.

They brought the furry family to foster care and helped them find a loving home that they so deserved!

A tiny orphan kitten was pulled from the ashes after a fire in Jeffersonville, Indiana. It was a miracle that the little baby kitten survived.

City of Jeffersonville, Indiana wrote at Facebook: “After the massive fire in a Jeffersonville apartment complex Thursday, out of the rubble came a kitten named Miracle.

Jeffersonville Firefighters were told a kitten was missing, but with both his parents deceased from smoke inhalation, it seemed unlikely a 2 week old kitten would survive. But the next day at 3 pm, a Firefighter found him covered in soot – alive.”

“It looked like a fuzzy play toy. I didn’t even know it was a cat,” Captain Rusty Hall of the Jeffersonville Fire Department told WDRB.

Sara Green, Director of J.B. Ogle Animal Shelter received the call that they had found the missing kitten. They rushed little Miracle to Eastside Animal Hospital where he was given oxygen.

“Just a baby kitten, just wants to be loved,” said Sara.

“Kittens are very fragile at that age, plus the smoke inhalation,” Sara said. “I don’t know how in the world this thing survived.”

The little miracle kitten continues to thrive under Sara’s care. “She will be taking care of Miracle indefinitely until they are either able to contact the owner or put him up for adoption,” City of Jeffersonville added.

Cashew the cat who went missing after a fire Monday at an apartment building in the Plateau section of Montreal, Canada, has been reunited with his human thanks to the kind neighbors that found and rescued him.

Casey Kerr’s girlfriend works at an animal shelter and often brings home rescue cats to care for them.

On the day of the fire, they had eight cats in the apartment. Five of them had been rescued, and they had been looking for the missing three cats.

When Isaac Berman, a neighbor came to check on the building after the fire, he spotted a cat on the second floor balcony. Immediately he decided to help.

“It was a miracle. The kitty cat came out onto the balcony,” he said. “Now we have to save the cat!”

Berman received help from his friends from across the street. He managed to get into the second floor apartment and safely got the ginger cat out. The kitty was in good shape, but terrified.

“We gained his trust with snacks and then put him in a cat cage to bring him down,” Isaac said.

Isaac’s friend Raluca Mantu who lives across the street from the burnt building took the cat into her home. “I fed him, I gave him water and then I made posters to print and post around the building in case the owner would come look for the cat,” she said.

Yesterday morning while Casey was speaking with a police officer about his missing cat, Raluca saw them and told Casey that she had his cat.

“[Casey] was actually shaking and he was hugging the cat, and the cat was very happy,” Mantu said. “It was really emotional, really nice.”

This beautiful ginger cat mama was pregnant and living on the street. When she was discovered, she quickly ran into a loading dock at a local mall. Shortly after that, she went into labor and gave birth to six kittens.

They couldn’t open the loading dock because it would have crushed the Mama, so they called Cats at the Studios Rescue of Burbank, California for help.

Mama cat was safely rescued and three of her kittens survived. They are now living in a foster home, happy, healthy and loved.

She already has a home lined up, but her kittens will need their forever homes once they are old enough for adoption.
