A little bull calf became the ‘mom’ for a litter of farm kittens. He grooms the little kitties and snuggles up to them at night.

They found a litter of kittens at the farm, and soon the little ones were adopted by an unusual ‘mom’.

A bull calf fell in love with the kittens. “He licks them (that’s why they’re wet in this pic) and snuggles up to them at night. Not sure what he thinks of them but I think he likes them.” (reddit)

A farm cat mama adopted a big kitten who needed some mother’s love. How adorable is that!

“The big kitten has a mom, but she has never taken much interest in her children, so when he saw this happy little family he decided to snuggle with them instead. The mother immediately welcomed him in the family.” (reddit)

Meg the 3-legged rescue dog became a surrogate mom to a litter of five kittens that he helped rescue from the ceiling of the Rochdale’s RSPCA animal center.

Meg who lost one of his legs after being rescued and was adopted by the center manager Jean Spencer, often accompanies her owner to work.

Last Wednesday evening, Meg was looking up at the ceiling and started whimpering as if she wanted to tell Jean that something was up there.

Jean began to investigate. When they found out that there were kittens trapped in the building’s plasterboard ceiling, they began to break it open. After hours of hard work, they made a huge hole in the ceiling where they found five kittens and brought them to safety.

“It was really unusual rescue. I know Meg and she was obviously worried about something in the ceiling so I thought I’d better have a look and it was a good thing I did. There was only a space in the ceiling cavity of about eight inches, so we had to make a big hole in the ceiling and work through the night to get them out. We think the kittens’ mom must have sneaked in through the roof to have them,” Spencer said via ITV.

The center believes that they have the kittens’ mother as they have caught a female cat that just gave birth outside the center. But the suspected mama cat will not look after her babies, so everyone at the center and the volunteers are working together to care for the kittens. Meg the 3-legged dog has been a great helper too.

“Meg is really fond of the kittens. She is really kind and gentle with them and is always licking them, it is very sweet to see,” Jean added.

An orphan kitten named Roadhouse is now nursing alongside her new siblings, tiny pups, and getting all the love from her new mom, a white Maltese dog named Coco.

Coco was rescued from a hoarding situation and was brought to Animal Haven. After she came into the shelter, she gave birth to her litter of puppies.

Just a few days after her puppies were born, Roadhouse the kitten came in without a mother. She wouldn’t take formula from a bottle, so they introduced her to Coco. “We said, ‘What would happen if we put the kitten with Coco,’ and it was instantaneous,” Mara of Animal Haven said.

Roadhouse has formed a beautiful bond with her new mom and the puppies.

Three tiny kittens found a new unusual mom, a beagle mix dog named Mary who has a litter of puppies of her own. Mary adopted the kittens at the Pickens County Animal Shelter in Jasper, Georgia. She’s been caring for the kittens since before their eyes were even opened.

Mary has seven little puppies of her own. When they tried to introduce the kittens to Mary, she took all three in and started nursing them as her own.

Mary grooms the kittens, sleeps with them and cannot bear to have them leave her side.

Shelter staffers work around the clock to feed the kittens, but Mary is playing an important role. “If anything, it’s given the kittens the companionship of the litter, the mother, the warmth.”
