It took a village to save this little calico kitten trapped under a highway bridge in Tokyo, Japan. About 20 people (firefighters and transport ministry officials) took part in the rescue on June 29th, the Asahi Shimbun reports. After one and half hours, two workers successfully brought the little frightened kitten down from the lower structure of the overpass.
A landscaping company provided a hydraulic lift for the two workers to reach the top of the bridge column. They even set up a safety net underneath the bridge for the kitty.
It's a mystery how the little calico made it up there, but now she is in good hands. A transport ministry official said that they have received many offers to adopt the kitten.
