A 21-year-old super senior cat was saved from death row. She tells her rescuers, now forever humans, every day how happy she is with her adorable grandma meow!
Meet Priscilla!
A few days ago, Karyn Poplin of Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary was contacted about a 21-year-old Persian cat who was surrendered to a shelter with a request to euthanize because of her age. Karyn and her husband knew that they couldn't let that happen.
"While we are closed for intake for the rest of the year, some pleas for help just can't be ignored," Karyn told Love Meow.
"We don't know her backstory, but thanks to a great staff, the shelter put out a plea and got in contact with us, and of course we had to bring her home."
The couple runs a cat rescue and sanctuary for special needs, disabled, elderly and otherwise "unadoptable" felines in the DFW Texas area.
The super senior cat is in good shape for her age and has a penchant for good conversation with her human friends.
On October 8, the sweet old gal moved into her new home. She settled in very quickly and started meowing at her humans, telling them how pleased she was while she was inspecting her soft new bed.
"She's very sweet and loves to talk at full volume," Karyn told Love Meow. [Scroll down for videos]
Priscilla has a way to command attention with her incredible meow. You can hear maturity and wisdom in her rawr and it never lacks strength and depth.
"She likes her space but does get along with other cats. She's missing most of her teeth so her tongue just sort of does whatever it wants."
"We hope she enjoys living out her retirement with us. Priscilla! Welcome home!"
Priscilla has a lot to say! :)
