A cat was found at a construction site, completely terrified. A couple gave her a home and showed her love.
Within minutes, everything changed.
Sellecca Berg and her husband took in a stray that desperately needed a loving home. The gray and white cat had lived a rough life before she wandered into a construction site and was rescued by a worker there.
"She was found by one of our relatives' friends. He brought her home and kept her for a few days until we found out about her," Sellecca told Love Meow.
The man who saved the cat, had multiple pets at home and the shy kitty was under a lot of stress. When the couple learned about her plight they immediately offered to adopt her.
She was named Gravy.
"She was scared to death when we picked her up. We took her to the vet and got all of her necessary shots and deworming things, etc," Sellecca told Love Meow.
The couple prepared a quiet room for Gravy so she could finally relax and get some much-needed rest. Within 10 minutes after she arrived at her new home, the kitty began to warm up to her humans.
"She was nudging us and snuggling with us and was dying for some attention. She was so sweet," Sellecca told Love Meow.
"You would never have known that she went through so much before she came to us."
The street kitty made a complete 180 within a day.
She went from cowering in the corner of the room to napping comfortably on their couch in the living room.
After Gravy had settled into her new home, the couple decided that it was time to introduce her to her new brother, Biscuit.
"When they finally met each other it was confusing for both of them but after a week they became best friends."
Biscuit has taken Gravy under his wing. They are completely inseparable.
"Now they snuggle together, sleep on our feet at night, and chase each other all around the house," Sellecca told Love Meow.
Gravy the former street cat has found a place to call her own and a best friend to snuggle with every day.
