Two tabby kittens came to their foster home without a mom, but a resident cat took to them and became their new mama.
Coto the 3-year-old cat is very nurturing to other kitties in need. When her humans bring home rescue kittens, she comes running and offers herself to care for the babies.
When these two tabby kitties arrived, they were bundles of energy.
As soon as Coto heard the babies, she came over and watched them as they played.
The kittens became very curious about their big kitty friend. After a few sniffs, Coto welcomed them with open paws.
Then this happened. The kitten was held down for a mandatory bath. Coto officially took on the role of their foster mom.
She was very protective and always kept a watchful eye on the kittens.
Coto was never far from her foster babies.
This is how she mandated a bath. It started with a kiss...
Then she licked the ears and cleaned the face...
Finally, she locked in the kitten with both paws for a power bath. It's what cat mamas do.
Before her fosters went to their forever homes, Coto gave them lots of cuddles and a few more baths. It was bitter sweet.
When another kitten came along, she jumped right back to being a foster mom, doting on the kitty.
The kitten wants to play, but mama Coto wants to bathe.
Playful little tabby!
