An animal rescuer saved four tiny baby squirrels from a terrible cyclone. While he was caring for the babies, his cat Netty came to offer a helping paw.
It was during the cyclone season when a kind-hearted man, Peter, found four baby squirrels in need of a lot of help.
"During a cyclone we found a nest outside the gate. Four cute baby squirrels inside the nest survived in the worst cyclone," he said.
They syringe fed the babies and looked after them around the clock. Their cat Netty who they rescued as a kitten from the roadside, was curious about the tiny squeaks, so they introduced her to the baby squirrels. [Scroll down for video]
After a few sniffs and licks, the former stray kitten took to the baby squirrels and started snuggling with them.
It was as if she was trying to show them the same love she received when she was rescued.
Reunion with the mother squirrel!
"We heard the mother squirrel sound around our neighbor home. She was searching for her babies. We kept the nest outside the window," he said.
They hoped the baby cries would get mama to come find them, and she did!
"The mother squirrel had come around our home, but the weather outside was so bad to give back her babies." So they waited for two days until the weather cleared up.
They placed the babies outside, and one by one mama came to pick them up. "Once mother squirrel heard the sound, she came for her babies."
