On his first day home, he wasn't sure how long he would stay after having been sent back five times. "He was deeply ambivalent about being in a new place."
But after checking out every nook and carnie of the his new home, he fell in love with his comfortable bed, the table that he could lurk under and the laundry hamper that he could snuggle in.
Finally he felt at home.
James demands attention and belly rubs. All he wants is love.
"He discovered that there's nothing more satisfying than hiding out in the hamper," his human said.
"He really loves it in there."
James is a sweet, mellow guy who supervises his human's every move. He never leaves his human alone.
"He loves staring meaningfully at me while I work."
After being returned five times, James finally left the shelter for good. He's found the place he always dreamed of.
"Two years after adoption, and this is his favorite sleeping spot."
