A kitten and his cat momma are so happy to have a roof over their heads again after they lost the only home they ever knew.
Meet Butterscotch!
This four-week old kitten and his cat mama, Goldie, came to Purrfect Pals, a rescue in Arlington, Washington, after their owner had lost their home and could no longer take care of them.
They were confused by all the changes, and the mama cat was so scared that all she wanted was to hide.
Purrfect Pals knew that they desperately needed a foster home where they could feel safe. A young woman took them home to foster. Soon the little ginger boy came out of his shell and began to shine.
"Butterscotch is the perfect example of how rewarding being a foster parent is; a win-win situation. We help to raise them; feed them, clean them, play with them and love them.
"And in turn, they give you the best snuggles, cuddles and unconditional love," foster mom said on The Tennyson Fosters.
Butterscotch purrs up a storm as a tiny purrito.
Over the next two months, they worked tirelessly to try to win over mama's trust. Goldie was very shy but with each passing day, she opened up a little more and slowly came out from hiding.
"Mama Goldie has completely turned 180 since she first came to us as a scared, scrawny, traumatized little thing. Now all she does is purr and adores belly rubs. Just goes to show: every cat is worth saving."
Little Butterscotch loves to travel in his foster mom's hoodie. "In general, he just likes being up high on my shoulders."
The tiny ginger is always curious and wants to know everything that is happening.
Sometimes he plays hide and seek.
Butterscotch loves to snuggle with his humans and all the soft things.
A loving home makes him the happiest kitty in the world.
Nearly three months ago, they lost the only home they knew, but a foster family took them in with open arms and helped them find love again.
Look what a handsome boy he's become!
