Two tuxedo kittens who came from a farm together, share an inseparable bond.
Earlier this year, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, a rescue group in Montreal, Canada, received an urgent request about four little kittens that needed help. They were born to a farm cat and were found in poor shape.
Local rescuers, Marie and Nadia, managed to get them to safety. They transported the little ones to the rescue so they could be tended to and given the medical attention they needed. Two of the feline babies were tuxedos who shared quite a resemblance. From the beginning, they were very close to each other.
The kittens were less than five weeks old and just skin and bones. Over the next few days, they were nursed back to health and given plenty of cuddles and TLC at their foster home.
"They got back on their feet and gained weight and strength. The kittens finished weaning, and they loved the new food," Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with Love Meow.
The litter of four quickly came out of their shells, and their personalities started to shine through. It didn't take long for their foster family to notice the strong connection shared between the two tuxedo sisters.
They were always together, imitating one another, and feeding off each other's energy. Each tuxedo would seek out the other if they were not close by.
Not only do they look very much alike, but also they share similar personalities.
"Brioche (the tuxedo) has longer hair than her twin sister (Choukett). Choukett is a skilled climber and she absolutely loves cat trees," Celine shared with Love Meow.
"Brioche (with long ear tufts) is the most affectionate of all. She likes to sleep in the crook of our necks and is a sweet-natured cat just like her sister."
When the two want attention from their humans, they will meow alongside each other, singing the cutest little duet. If one hops onto a cat tree, the other will quickly follow suit.
The pair do everything together and stay close to each other wherever they go. They enjoy being around people and other animals as long as they have each other.
The tuxedo girls like to mirror one another when they play. Choukett always claims the cat tree and encourages her sister to do the same.
They both have similar markings and an adorable goatee to boot.
Cuddle time for them always comes with a plus one. If one of them nuzzles into someone's arms, the other comes running and demands to be held. They share every moment together and cannot be separated.
When the kittens were big enough for adoption, the rescue knew that the two tuxedo sisters are a package deal.
Their other two siblings quickly found a good home together, leaving the two tuxes waiting for theirs to come.
Earlier this week, the rescue got the news they had been waiting for. A family fell in love with Brioche and Choukett, and they are coming to the rescue tomorrow to bring them both home.
After a rough start to life, these lovely kittens blossomed into healthy, happy young cats.
The two twin sisters will always stay together and have a place of their very own.
