A resident guard cat at a cat sanctuary in Fort Worth, Texas brought home a boyfriend, a stray ginger, who wanted some food and a loving home.
Porchy the tortie is the resident guard cat at the Kitty Adventure Rescue League. One day, she was seen with a furry friend in the yard, who decided to hang out and share some of her food.
"He showed up outside a few days ago, ran away when I first tried to pet him. Then he showed up again and seemed interested so I pet him again and went back inside," Karyn Poplin told Love Meow.
"I turned around and saw him yelling at me through the screen door so I opened it and he walked right in like he owned the place."
It turns out that the kitty didn't have a home. He noticed Porchy, who rules the yard, and her bowl of food, so walked right up to her, hoping for a few scraps, but the ginger boy got more than just a few bites.
"Porchy brought home a boyfriend, and he demanded to come inside. So he did. And now we have another cat."
They named him Torchy in honor of his finder. The ginger cat absolutely loves head scratches.
He walks up to his new human friend, asking for love and attention.
This is the moment they knew the cat had chosen them to be his forever family.
They had no choice but to oblige to his wish.
Torchy living an indoor life!
No one knows how he ended up as a stray, but somehow he found his way to the cat sanctuary. Maybe he knows this is the perfect home for him, or perhaps, Porchy tipped him off.
He's now part of a big happy family with humans who love him to bits.
