About Bobbi Magee:
“Bobbi Magee had the same home for the last ten of her 11 years. Then she lost it when her person's partner proved allergic to her. That was devastating for Bobbi. She was sent to a new home but she was so upset that her litter pan etiquette lapsed. So she came to Katie's Place. Bobbi had never been around other cats, so ending up at the shelter was a shock to her. She felt bewildered and upset. She desperately warned us off as she huddled in her nest, the picture of dejection.
Bobbi is not keen on small children. She would rather disappear until her environment is peaceful and predictable again. The hard thing about coming to the shelter was that she couldn't escape the barrage of strange sounds, sights and scents. But her former people said that when Bobbi feels comfortable, she's "very loving and affectionate and loves to cuddle, very relaxed." That's the real Bobbi and we're beginning to see her personality now that's she's had some time to settle in. She greets us happily and enjoys some strokes. Just don't give her a full body stroke, she's sensitive about her back. Bobbi is diabetic and is getting diabetic food. Since she eats with good appetite, medicating her is a breeze. You'll see in her last two photos that we took advantage of the warm weather to shave Bobbi of her matted fur. ”
