A tiny ginger kitten was found all alone, and his eyes were completely matted shut. In just a week, he can see, drink from his bottles like a champ, and has nine adopted siblings to play with.
Meet Slurpee!
He was found wandering outside at just 2 weeks old without a mom in sight. When he was taken into Here Kitty Kitty Rescue (in Elkhart, Indiana), he barely weighed anything.
"We got him about 1 1/2 weeks ago. He didn't purr the first day because he was so weak and sick, but by the next day he was purring every time he saw us," Here Kitty Kitty Rescue told Love Meow.
All it took was some much-needed food, a warm bed, and a lot of love.
"We call him Slurpee because he makes a crazy slurping noise when he drinks his bottle."
Now he comes running when he knows it's feeding time.
On the same day Slurpee came to the rescue, 9 other motherless kittens were also brought in.
Just like Slurpee, they came with infected eyes. Slurpee needed a friend to play with and cuddle with. They quickly bonded.
"The 9 we took with him were 2 different ages. 3 were about 1 week older and the other 6 are his age. He is definitely the smallest though!" Here Kitty Kitty Rescue told Love Meow.
The 10 tiny fur balls are getting better every day. They purr together in a big purr pile, giving each other comfort and love.
Slurpee clings to one of his adopted brothers.
The two love to hold paws.
Now the tiny ginger boy has a family to snuggle with.
"Slurpee loves his new family." He's getting a lot of attention and is doing very well.
Update: A month later...
"Slurpee is doing great! He is still very small but has tons of personality."
