Petunia the cat was found with a big belly that was ready to pop. What she didn't know was that her journey from the day she delivered her kittens till the day they were all adopted out was witnessed by thousands of people on the internet.
On March 18, six tiny babies were born healthy at Roche's Fort Langley home of Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS). Petunia, a young cat, jumped into the role of a mom right away and started grooming and nursing the little ones.
Thousands of people around the world watched the kittens grow from tiny fuzz balls whose eyes weren't even opened to playful little kitties that wreaked hevoc around the foster home. Through a kitty cam, Petunia and her litter of kittens touched the hearts of thousands upon thousands. People couldn't get enough of their cuteness.
Just a few days ago, they were on their way to their forever homes. It was bitter sweet to the caretakers at LAPS, but knowing they will be living in a permanent home with people that love them, it makes all the hard work worthwhile.
