When a young man found this tiny tabby kitten in a box by the trash bin, he picked up the little fur ball and was on his way to take the kitten to her new home.
First night napping in a comfy bed.
"Last night as I was heading home from work I found this little one by the trash bin in a box. I tried looking around, but the nearest residential area is a couple of blocks away. I spoke with my girlfriend and we want to keep her," Christian Felix shares the story via reddit .
They had never taken cared of the baby that young so they were learning from scratch. They kept the kitten warm before taking her to the vet.
The kitten got a clean bill of health and was determined to be about three weeks old.
It's been a lot of work caring for the kitten around the clock. "But it's worth it," he said.
"She has been eating progressively more, and tries to control the bottle. Very surprised she uses the litter box on her own."
"She gets to go to work with me today!"
It's been a week since the rescue. She was very malnourished when he found her. "(Now) I can see her trotting around."
"It's a lot of work, but it is worth it."
