Once they helped a blind kitten get back on her feet, they were amazed by what she could do.
Tortellini aka LiniTheOddCatSanctuary
Tortellini (aka Lini), the tortoiseshell kitten, was the runt of her litter, always lagging in development. After a kind woman took her in, she noticed Lini was wobbly and struggling to grow.
She brought the tortie to multiple vet clinics, including an ER, seeking help, but soon realized the level of care needed was beyond what she could provide. "She was told Lini was a failure to thrive and was at the end of her life," the Odd Cat Sanctuary shared with Love Meow.
Refusing to give up, the woman reached out to the Odd Cat Sanctuary and asked if they could give the kitten a chance.

"We found a foster (carer) and agreed to take this little lady on. We brought her right to our emergency veterinary hospital to run some tests. She was off balance when she arrived but calm and very sweet."
Blind in both eyes, Lini didn't let anything stand in her way.

At the clinic, the sweet tortie basked in every cuddle session with the staff, letting them care for her without complaint and taking everything in stride. They discovered she had severely low calcium levels, causing her seizures and wobbliness.
They promptly started her on proper medication and showered her with love and attention.

Shortly after starting treatment, Lini bounced back with renewed energy and a hearty appetite. With a spring in her step, she explored every nook and cranny of her room, but above all, she adored human affection.
She insisted on being tucked under her foster mom's shirt for extra coziness.

At around four months old, Lini is only the size of a six-week-old kitten, weighing just 1.3 pounds. Though she's less than half the size she should be, she more than makes up for it with sass and a love for cuddles.
"She's so sweet and loves to eat, purr, sleep in her foster mom's shirt, and yell when she wants something."

The beautiful wonder kitten is finally on the mend, thanks to those who never gave up on her. Though she may not have sight, her newfound strength proves she can do anything just like any other kitten.
"She is a fighter and has so much sass. Right now, she's thriving, and her personality is coming out more and more each day."

Lini has a knack for getting what she wants and won't take no for an answer. She often stands in front of her human, waiting to be picked up and held in their arms. She also loves perching on their shoulders or chest for extra comfort.
The moment she noticed her foster mom wearing glasses, she made it her mission to snatch them off and wrestle with them.

Once said to be a "failure to thrive," Lini has made an incredible turnaround, flourishing into the New Year in foster care. She's steadily gaining weight and growing stronger and continues to amaze her people with what she can do.
She loves playing with toys that make noise. Despite her tiny size, her "tortitude" shines through.

With a second chance, Lini has gotten her life back and is living each day to the fullest. She's catching up in size to her unicorn plushie and honing her wrestling skills with it.
"She's an old soul who will make some lucky family incredibly happy."
