A cat adopted a kitten that looked so much like her. Now, they complete each other in the most precious way.
Pugsley and MiaSaltyAnimalRescue
A stray cat with cow markings arrived at Salty Animal Rescue just in time to give birth to her kittens indoors.
After raising her kittens into happy, healthy young cats, she was spayed and ready for her new chapter. While waiting for her forever family, she watched as each of her kittens found a loving home. As a shy cat, Mia needed a special person who could offer her the patience and love she deserved.
Meanwhile, the foster family took in another mother cat with two kittens from a shelter. The moment they met Mia, the younger ones sprang up to her.

Before long, they saw Mia supporting the new momma, Morticia, helping her care for her kittens, and giving her some well-deserved rest.
With an extra paw to help, Morticia soon spent most of her time lounging with her people, while Mia catered to her kittens' every whim. One kitten, Pugsley, with matching cow markings, was the spitting image of Mia.

Bursting with energy and mischief, he trailed behind Auntie Mia, always trying to get her to play.
"Pugsley is a happy, silly kitten. Mia may not have birthed him, but he looks more like her than her own children, and they have the cutest relationship," Salty Animal Rescue shared. "Mama Morticia has no problem that Mia has decided to adopt her child. She's ready to be done with mom life."

Pugsley constantly pestered Mia, wrestling for attention while his mom watched from the couch. After putting up with all his playful antics, Mia held him down for a bath, helping to calm his boisterous energy.
"We're not sure if it's because he looks so much like her, or he loves that she lets him freely torment her, but these two decided they'd like to stick together. She didn't even love her own babies this much."

Morticia and one of her kittens eventually found their perfect homes, while Mia continued her search now with Pugsley by her side. "Mia always loved on the kittens (she's a very sweet girl with other cats) but has never loved a kitten as much as her twin, Pugsley."
Pugsley, the little social butterfly, gradually drew Mia out of her shell, encouraging her to open up more each day.

The mischievous kitten doesn't give Mia a moment's rest. When he's not bouncing around, he's climbing all over her, nibbling gently on her ears, always up to some playful mischief.
Mia has the patience of a saint, handling all his shenanigans with grace and smothering him with plenty of love and baths.

When Pugsley wears himself out, he snuggles beside Mia and often falls asleep in her arms. The two are rarely apart—sharing the same beds throughout the day. After all the rough play, Pugsley melts into Mia, basking in her warmth.
"Mia is still young enough that she puts up with his playful kitty behavior. Pugsley, being more social, can help Mia even more with her shyness when it comes to humans (although she's made huge progress)."

"We would love if we could find an adopter able to give this shy girl and crazy kitten a home together, forever."
While their humans watch TV from the couch, Pugsley and Mia sit snugly together in their cozy cat bed, enjoying the show side by side.

Mia has taught Pugsley how to be a cat, and Pugsley has shown her that humans aren't so scary. They share an inseparable bond and even look like twins. "I think it's a match made in heaven."
