A cat wandered into a neighborhood, hoping for a meal. Once taken in, he turned into the gentlest, most affectionate teddy bear.

A striking blue-eyed cat appeared in a feral cat colony where dedicated rescue volunteers had been helping.
With no one to claim him, he was likely abandoned and struggled to survive outdoors. He was bullied by other tom cats and chased away from food sources. "Not knowing how to defend himself, he would hide alone in corners," Chatons Orphelins Montreal shared.
The rescuers knew right away he didn't belong outside and brought him to safety.

Hoping to place him in a foster home, they contacted Chatons Orphelins Montreal for help. "We took him into our care and named him Trafalgar. Even though he was nervous, he allowed us to handle him."
Trafalgar was a big cat, barely fitting into a large carrier. During a vet visit, they discovered he had a heart murmur and was FIV+.

Once the cat stepped into his foster home, his eyes lit up, and his demeanor transformed. With a cozy, quiet space to decompress, he quickly came out of his shell and started purring.
He nestled into his bed, rolling around in his soft blanket, delighted to finally feel safe.

Soon, he ventured out of his safety nook and approached his humans for affection. His purr grew louder as he basked in their petting. "Trafalgar is a sweetheart and a unit of a cat. He's incredibly gentle and loves everyone, without a mean bone in his body."
"He purrs like a tractor whenever he's cuddled as if he is competing in a purring contest."

Before long, he was following his foster family around the house, turning into a full-time love bug. "He's very affectionate and craves cuddles and attention, and if he doesn't get enough, he'll rub against your legs for more."
"Trafalgar may be a big kitty, but he is still a baby at heart."

Whenever someone walks in, he waits by the door to greet them with the cutest bear hug. Standing on his hind legs, he wraps his front paws around them while purring up a storm.
"He needs his daily dose of love and has an emotionally dependent side."

"He loves it when we take the time to play with him every day. He loves toys with feathers and comes running when we wave them around."
Trafalgar has a few endearing quirks that bring much joy and laughter to his foster family. He enjoys inspecting the fridge and likes to sit behind the citrus fruits as if he's their little guardian.

"When he wants attention, he makes adorable little noises and coos, asking to be petted and included in everything."
He isn't fond of closed doors and always wants to be wherever his humans are. He sleeps on their bed beside them and comes running the moment they call him. "He's a cat who acts like a dog."

"Trafalgar was lucky to have been rescued before winter. The extreme cold outside would have made it difficult for him to survive for long."
Now, he trails his people around the house, filling each room with his rumbling purrs and always ready to offer a big hug.
