Tocket, a 4 and 1/2-year-old mother cat nearly died of a fever after losing her litter of kittens on February 10. Four days later several bassett hound puppies were born, but their own mother could not produce any milk for them. It's mother cats' instinct to provide care for each other's new born kittens. In this case, Tocket gladly took over the nursing duties for the puppies, making it a happy ending.
