A cat is thrilled to finally have what he always wanted after going from home to home and living outside for weeks.

A beautiful tuxedo cat named Benedictine arrived at the Stray Cat Club, a volunteer-based rescue, for a chance at a better life.

Barely a year old, he'd already been through so much in his short life. "Born into a cycle of neglect, he was passed from home to home before ending up outside—left to fend for himself for over a month," the Stray Cat Club shared with Love Meow.

Benedictine had to quickly adapt to survive the unforgiving streets.

"Scavenging for food, hiding under cars, and avoiding fights with other un-neutered toms became his daily reality."

A Good Samaritan noticed Benedictine scuttling down the street alone, taking shelter under cars. They sprang into action and brought him to safety. After contacting his original family, sadly, he remained unwanted.

"But it did lead him to us, where he's safe, neutered, microchipped, and finally getting the love he deserves."

Benedictine was scared and anxious when he first arrived at his foster home. But as he settled into the loving environment, his eyes softened. He realized he no longer had to scrounge for food or flee from danger, and his beautiful personality began to shine.

"He's starting to show just how much he wants love, and we are more than happy to oblige."

Benedictine flopped onto his side, inviting pets and belly rubs. Basking in the affection, he rolled around, waving his paws in the air. For the first time in a long time, the tuxedo cat truly felt loved.

Benedictine had been outside for quite some time, unsure of where he belonged. Now, with a foster family showering him with love, he became the sweetest companion, always looking for a lap to cuddle.

"From a frightened stray to a blossoming little lap cat, Benedictine has come such a long way in our care."

"This sweet boy adores cuddles once he feels safe, but he's still a little nervous at times. He might give a cautious hiss if someone moves too quickly, but as soon as he realizes he's not being chased, he's right back to seeking affection."

Benedictine would thrive as the center of attention in a loving home, and the rescue was committed to making that a reality.

"His days of struggling are over. He's on the path to a much brighter future."

A lovely family fell head over heels for the sweet boy and welcomed him into their loving home. While exploring his new abode, he claimed every inch he touched as his kingdom.
