Two stray cats (named Stu and Chris) were found near a home of an animal lover and were brought to the Roe Valley Veterinary Clinic in Limavady, UK in July this year.
The clinic started tracing the owners of the cats. Once they realized the cats were microchipped, they scanned and discovered the microchip as well as a tattoo that were done in Germany. However, the information about the owners couldn't not be divulged to the clinic due to confidentiality agreement in Germany.
The clinic is now trying to contact police in Coleraine and see if there is any posibility that the owners might be located in North Ireland.
One of the cats has been tested FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency) positive.
