A kitten wandered to the driveway of a resident's home for help after being left behind on a dirt road.

A resident who lives in the countryside of North Carolina, spotted a cream calico kitten outside her driveway. The little stray was cornered by a few other outdoor cats, who were trying to "pin her down."
As it turned out, the kitten had been abandoned at the end of a dirt road, and wandered to the driveway at the woman's home. The Good Samaritan reached out to her local rescue, Sparkle Cat Rescue, for assistance.
Sarah Kelly, a foster volunteer of the rescue, didn't hesitate to help.

The sweet calico was so happy to be in the arms of her rescuers. Her purr motor went off and just kept rumbling. They thought the name Valentine would be quite fitting for such a love-bug.
The kitten made it clear from day one that she didn't belong to the outdoors. All she wanted was to be loved.

"We joke that she was rescued from this because she is 'a lover, not a fighter,' hence why we gave her a romantic name," Sarah shared with Love Meow.
After exploring around her new digs, she rolled around on a fluffy blanket in pure bliss. "Her first day home was perfect! She settled in so well and was so grateful to have a whole kitten room of soft blankets and food all to herself."

As soon as Val realized that she was in the comfort of a safe, warm home, she quickly blossomed and began seeking attention from everyone around her.
Her personality was shining through and she became quite the chatterbox.

"She has been very vocal with her affection — she loves to meow for attention and roll over for belly rubs at our feet," Sarah told Love Meow.
"She loves following us around the house and climbing cat trees to get to the sunniest spot she can find. She purrs at the slightest touch."

The sweet kitten will never have to spend another day on the streets. She is completely back in her element being an indoor cat, spoiled and loved.

"She loves attention and will chase you around the room until she gets it. Then, once she knows she has your attention, she loves to soak it all up," Sarah said.

"She's perfected the classic drop to the floor, purring and begging for belly rubs, and has mastered flaunting her adorableness for the camera."
Sometimes, she turns into the cutest loaf, supervising her humans as they go about their daily chores.
