A compassionate animal rescuer, Genevieve, was helping local strays when she stumbled upon a cat and her litter of five. One of the kittens, Riley, stood out with her long ear tufts.
Determined to rescue them all, she secured the mom, gently scooped up the kittens, and brought them home. With a roof over their heads, they began to thrive.
When the kittens were weaned, the mom was spayed and found a safe place where she would be loved and cared for. Four of the kittens were adopted in pairs, leaving Riley still longing for a home.

Genevieve reached out to her local animal rescue, Chatons Orphelins Montreal, seeking help for the kitten. Riley needed medical attention and a chance to find a loving home, ideally with a friend.
"She had a runny nose and sniffles, but after starting medication, she quickly recovered," Chatons Orphelins Montreal shared.

She was eager for a constant companion. Before she was nursed back to health, they gave her a little plush toy to keep her company so she wouldn't feel lonely. She snuggled with it and never left it out of her sight.
Once Riley was well enough to socialize, she immediately ran to the other cats, wanting to befriend them all.

Noticing the resident senior cat lounging on the couch, Riley hopped up, snuggled beside her, purring up a storm, and soon melted into her embrace.
"She quickly showed her cuddly and mischievous side. She's a sweetheart of a kitten."

When Riley discovered other foster kittens in the house, she was thrilled. She dashed over to them and followed them everywhere. If they jumped on the couch, she was right on their tail.
The kittens quickly accepted the friendly newcomer, and before long, they were playing together as if Riley had always been part of their crew.

She likes to be where the action is, curious about what everyone is up to. "In the evening, she comes to sleep near us, snuggling up with the other kittens."

Whenever she sees a cat sunbathing by the window, she joins them, making sure they have company and a bit of her affection.
"She comes running the moment we wave the feather duster. She loves heights and napping in the sun by the window, especially with a friend. With her adorable face and those white ear tufts, she's the full package."

Riley gets along wonderfully with the boisterous kittens. They have a blast running around the house, and afterward, she curls up with the older cats, napping beside them and soaking in the affection.
"She is still very much a baby at heart."
