A kitten started being himself again soon after leaving the shelter. Now, he has a cat buddy to look up to.

Little Wanderers NYC was contacted about an orphaned kitten who had been brought into a city shelter. He was just six weeks old and walked with a wobbly gait due to a congenital condition known as cerebellar hypoplasia.
Despite being unsteady on his feet, the kitten was healthy and not in any discomfort. He needed a home environment to help him thrive, and Ashley who volunteers for the rescue, stepped up to help.
When she arrived at the shelter to pick up the kitten, she was met with a mini version of her own cat, Laser.

Ashley was told that the kitten couldn't eat on his own and had to be syringe-fed. Soon after he settled into his cozy new place, he showed a ravenous appetite for pate and would dive in head first to eat it.
"He's taking solids by mouth but still needs some extra help with liquids via a syringe," Ashley shared. "He's very unsteady, but he neither notices, nor cares."

The kitten, Figaro, started playing after having a hearty meal. He took a few tumbles as he explored around his space, but he got right up and just kept going.
"His condition doesn't bother him one bit. He loves to play."

Ashley's resident cat, Laser, heard the commotion coming from the foster room, and was very intrigued. When they were ready to meet, Laser welcomed the youngling with a few nose boops.
The kitten was ecstatic to have a new friend to play with, and couldn't wait to run around with him.

While Laser was still trying to figure out how to play with a tiny kitten of his stature, he didn't mind washing his face and giving him baths, whenever Ashley brought the kitten over to him.
Figaro adores Laser's attention and affection and melts right into him.

"He plays all day, and purrs and cuddles when he's picked up. Laser has started to wrestle with him."
The boisterous kitten is always on the go, pouncing on toys, exploring every nook and cranny, and honing his kitty prowess. He keeps his buddy Laser on his toes and plays until he tires out.

Laser often reaches over to guide the kitten, as he cavorts around like a wild child. "They are so cute playing together. Laserboy is just the gentlest cat ever."
Figaro is a bundle of unbridled energy. He looks up to his foster brother and enjoys his company.

The kitten never has a dull moment and keeps everyone entertained with his many antics. With daily play time and plenty of activities, his motor skills have also improved.
"He is getting around so well, and all the cats are now playing with him."

As rambunctious as he may be, Figaro turns into mush the second he is cuddled.
The sweet wobbly boy is thriving in his foster home with his look-alike buddy who shows him the ropes and teaches him how to cat.
