Three tabbies befriended a kitten that needed a buddy. They thrived together in foster care.

A resident from North Carolina found a litter of tabbies near her home. The kittens were cold to the touch and rushed to their local rescue, Sparkle Cat Rescue, for help.
"Temperatures were really cold. They had a lot of warming up to do," Sarah Kelly, a foster volunteer of the rescue, shared. "They had an incredibly rough start, being left outside in a cold snap."
Sarah worked tirelessly to get the kittens' body temperature back to normal, but the little ones were faced with other health challenges.

One of the kittens sadly didn't make it, but the rest of the litter fought hard and pulled through after days of round-the-clock, painstaking care.
The kittens (Howie, Mac and Vee) bounced back on their paws. They enjoyed cozying up together in their comfy nest and always had a big snuggle toy standing guard, keeping them company.

"We were so lucky to have the incubator for these little ones, as they were so cold upon intake and struggled with low body temperatures."
Once the kittens were out of the woods, their personalities started to emerge. They became little mischief-makers, constantly plotting their next antic.

A few weeks prior to their arrival, another kitten, a singleton named Bo, was found all alone without a mom. He desperately needed foster care and lots of TLC. Sarah took him on and nursed him back to health.
Before he was medically clear to meet other fosters, he was given plenty of attention and a few cuddle toys so he would not feel alone. But nothing beats a warm body and the comfort of a friend.

Once he was ready to mingle with other kitties, he was more adamant than ever about having a buddy his size to play with. When the tabbies moved into their upgraded kitty suite, Sarah introduced Bo to the trio.
They quickly hit it off as if Bo had always been a part of their family.

The four of them started chasing each other, wrestling with their mighty little claws and sharing toys and beds.
The tabbies accepted Bo into their adorable crew and took him under their wing. They included him in all their slumber parties and treated him as their own.

With the help of the other kittens, Bo was able to socialize and hone his feline skills. He would imitate his foster siblings when they played and learned to have boundaries.
They would tackle each other and fall asleep wrestling over the same toy.

When the kittens were ready for their next chapter in life — their forever homes, all four of them quickly found their perfect match.

Mac and Vee, the bonded pair, were adopted together into a wonderful home.
"They are inseparable and adorably attached from snuggles to snacks, adventures, and adoption day," Sarah shared.

Howie, now renamed Catsidhe, stole the hearts of a family, and now has a canine brother to roughhouse with every day.
"He's such a caring little guy. He takes good care of us and is so loving and cuddly," Catsidhe's family wrote.

Bo found the family of his dreams and now gets cuddles and pets on demand. "His playful chirps and sweet purrs bring so much joy to our household," Bo's mom wrote.
