A man went to adopt a kitten but ended up bringing home another cat, too. It turned out to be the best decision.
Bronx and BrooklynJaime
Jaime arrived at Best Friends Felines for a meet-and-greet with a tabby kitten he was smitten with, but by the end, he decided to adopt two.
The tabby, Bronx, came from a litter of five and flourished into a confident and irresistibly snuggly kitty. "She loves to come up for cuddles and head boops and will even clamber onto your shoulders just to be closer to you," Best Friends Felines shared.
"She is always ready for a game, eagerly leading the charge when feather wands or swishy sticks come out."

As her siblings found their forever homes, Bronx hoped her dream family was just around the corner.
A while later, Jaime discovered Bronx on the rescue's page. Captivated by her beauty and charming personality, he scheduled a meet-and-greet. When Ingrid, the foster mom, introduced them, it was love at first sight.

While meeting Bronx, another cat, Brooklyn, caught Jaime's eye. She was a stunning, regal, diluted torbie with a sweet and friendly nature. Curious, Jaime inquired about Brooklyn and learned she had truly blossomed during her months in foster care.
"She has gone from strength to strength since coming into care. Once a scared and confused cat, she has blossomed into a cuddly, social, and outgoing kitty."

Brooklyn first arrived at the rescue with four kittens that weren't hers. After weeks of being aloof and distant, she decided to open her heart and trust.
Her affectionate and chatty side emerged as she began seeking attention from people. "She is a happy, chatty young girl that actively seeks out pats, crashes Zoom meetings, and cheerfully curls up under your desk while you work."

Jaime fell head over heels for Brooklyn, and when she jumped into his arms, he knew it was meant to be. Originally, he was there to meet one kitten, but he left with his heart stolen by two.
"That night, I applied for a dual adoption of Brooklyn and Bronx," Jaime shared.

Though Bronx and Brooklyn were from different litters and ages, they quickly became the perfect pair. Brooklyn, the loving big sister, took Bronx under her wing, showering her with affection and cuddles.
Now, they enjoy sunbathing by the window, with Brooklyn making sure Bronx feels loved.

The two best friends love their adventures around the house, watching the day go by without a care in the world. "They have really settled in and love their window hammocks and cat balcony."
"They have totally enriched our lives with affection and their antics."

Brooklyn brings joy and laughter to her humans with her vibrant personality. When visitors are over, she leads the party, doling out snuggles and purrs and delighting everyone with her adorable meerkat stance.
"Nothing makes our hearts happier than seeing our former BFF kitties so happy and loved in their forever home," the rescue added.
