A family was greeted by a kitten, meowing for love when they visited a shelter last year. They couldn't say no. That day the kitty went to his forever home and was welcomed by a ginger cat and his unusual friend.
Meet Hachi!
A Japanese family rescued this five-month old kitten who was in need of a loving home. The kitten greeted them at the shelter, and the rest is history.
After Hachi moved into his new home, he met the family's ginger cat and his unusual friend--Ultraman.
The ginger cat named Koma was rescued at three days old. Growing up, Ultraman was always by his side from when he was an itty bitty kitty to a fully grown cat.
When Hachi joined the family Koma took him under his wing.
Ultraman was there for him just like how he was there for Koma.
Mai Narushima told Love Meow that Koma was found alone, and Ultraman became his constant companion.
Now Koma is a big kitty. He's taken the role of a brother, showering Hachi with love and cuddles.
Koma and Hachi bonded soon after they were introduced.
A month later, they were completely inseparable.
Koma keeps his feline buddy company and makes sure he's never alone.
The three best friends snuggle together in a relaxing afternoon.
Koma is very protective of his brother from another mother. Ultraman stays by their side, snoozing along.
Koma is happy to have a cuddle friend who purrs just like him.
Nap time with Ultraman.
Sleepy time with his best friend.
Sweet Koma is giving the same love that he received when he was rescued.
Hachi couldn't be happier.
Now every morning and evening, the two brothers await their meals together in the kitchen.
They are both rescues... and now they have each other.
Sleeping in formation.
Seven months after Hachi came to his forever home, they are still cuddling.
Hachi just turned 1 year old in June.
