They took in the smallest 6-week-old kitten and watched him grow as he formed a special bond with another cat.

Puppet, the kitten, was six weeks old when he arrived at Greenpoint Cats with his mother and brother, seeking a better life.
"He was the size of a two-week-old kitten (due to stunted growth). Despite his small size, he got a lot of energy and just wanted to be big and strong like his brother," Greenpoint Cats shared.
Even in rough shape, Puppet had the "vocal pipes of an opera singer" and the fighting spirit of a warrior.

He was admitted to an animal hospital where he could receive round-the-clock care. Soon, he perked up with renewed energy and started eating from a plate instead of using a syringe.
"Puppet is still so small and fragile, and there is no known cause of his condition."

Puppet settled into a cozy incubator, where he was doted on by the staff and accompanied by two snuggle friends. With the right care and good food, he became very active, hopping around and pouncing on makeshift toys.
A month later, Puppet finally crossed the one-pound mark. Though still tiny, he played with the spirit of a tiger, and the moment he was held, he melted into a puddle.

Marionette and Moppet, Puppet's mother and brother, are an inseparable pair. "Marionette's sweet, playful nature complements Moppet's inquisitive intelligence. Whether they're cuddling or playing, their interactions showcase their deep bond."
While Puppet was fostered by a veterinarian who provided exceptional care, his mom and brother found their forever home together.

Puppet's voracious appetite and zest for life fueled his growth, making him strong. As he regained health and outgrew his incubator, his personality truly shone. He went wild for toys and couldn't get enough attention.
They knew he needed a constant friend who could match his boundless energy.

They thought of Pop, a little cream kitten in need of a companion. As soon as they met, they hit it off, romping around as if they had always been littermates. Puppet was completely smitten with his new friend, who welcomed him with open paws.
"They are not brothers but absolutely adore each other."

They wrestled and tumbled until they tired out and drifted off to sleep in each other's arms.

They quickly mastered the art of commandeering the office chair whenever it was left unattended. Puppet, always looking up to Pop, followed his lead in all their mischievous adventures. Together, they were the perfect pair, stealing both chairs and hearts.
As the two grew into rambunctious young cats, the time for them to move to their new home drew near.

Puppet and Pop have found their forever home together. Just like in the old days, they are always side by side, like two peas in a pod.
"I teared up when I saw new pictures of this most memorable runt, now all grown up in his forever home with his best friend, Pop."
