A cream and white longhair kitten was found in a deep drainpipe after Brenda Rodriguez and her neighbor traced desperate meows they heard. "Scared and alone, the one-month-old kitten peered up. Unsure of how to safely get to him, Brenda called the Lakeland Fire Department," SPCA Florida reported.
The firefighters arrived within a few minutes. Lieutenant Daniel Faviere, Stuart Curk, Mark Olivenbaum and Kawailani “Kui” Kuikahi came to the rescue and pulled the frightened kitten to safety.
The tiny kitten was then taken to SPCA Florida where he received a medical exam and plenty of love that he desperately needed. They named him Teddy Bear.
