A 15-year-old cat named Buggy was brought to a veterinary clinic when his family no longer wanted him. The cat was healthy for his age and very friendly with the staff.

The vet team learned about his situation and refused to give up on him. They offered to rescue him so he could have a chance to live the good life. Buggy was confident and quickly charmed everyone at the clinic.

"While he was there, he stayed with the receptionists at the front desk, following them everywhere," Celine of Chatons Orphelins Montreal shared.

Buggy became a star that day, welcoming patients and their families and offering the staff his snuggles and soothing purrs. He walked around with his tail held high and acted like the perfect assistant, putting a smile on everyone's faces.

"Other animals didn't bother him at all. Buggy was so sweet and only asked for attention. He happily let anyone pick him up and hold him."

Buggy is in good shape but has a slight weakness in his back legs. "X-rays showed that everything was okay. He just has a little grandpa's gait, and his back legs sometimes slip."

A volunteer from the rescue took him home to foster, and Buggy immediately made himself comfortable.

"He has a cat-dog personality and likes to follow his people everywhere. He takes every opportunity to seek affection. He's friendly with everyone, even cats and dogs."

Buggy is a loving and forgiving soul who trusts his humans wholeheartedly.

He stays close to them, shadowing them around the house and ensuring no one is alone. "He is endearing and so easygoing."

"He went to work with his humans and just lay in a basket, surveying the room and watching all the action."

"Even though he is a senior, he is still a baby at heart. He loves catnip toys, rubs his face all over them, and purrs up a storm."

Buggy sometimes uses his paw to eat, picking up a kibble and putting it in his mouth like a distinguished gentleman. "He is so gentle and always makes little meows to get us to pay attention to him."

The sweet teddy bear has found his favorite sunbathing spot by the window, where he can watch little critters, neighbors, and the world go by.

He has befriended other cats in the house and especially gravitates towards the older feline friends.

"He follows the older cats and does everything they do. He wants to be loved by everyone."

A few toys, warm sunlight, and good company make Buggy the happiest cat in the world. "He is an absolute sweetheart of a cat. He loves getting attention and purrs as soon as we pet him."
