Karyn Poplin of Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary (Fort Worth, Texas) came across this special-needs kitty who was in desperate need of a loving home.

"She was born with Radial Hypoplasia, which makes her arms 'twisty' and walking is a bit difficult for her. She was found as a stray and turned into a shelter," Karyn told Love Meow.

"She's had issues with the openings in her nose, possibly some form of cleft palette, which was repaired and as a result she has a wonky nose with two different sized nostrils."

As her time was running out at the shelter, a rescuer got her out of the facility and fostered her while looking for a good home for the special girl, but finding a home wasn't easy for the one-year-old kitty.

Many adoptions fell through due to various reasons, and that's when the rescuer reached out to Karyn, hoping she could give the deserving kitty a chance at a better life.

"Sometimes you just have to help a friend in need."

Karyn and her husband run a rescue and sanctuary for special needs, disabled, elderly and otherwise unadoptable felines in the DFW TX area. When they learned about the kitty's plight, they knew they had to help.

The couple opened their hearts and home to the special girl and named her Grave Digger after the monster truck.

Just one day after the rescue, the kitty came out of her shell and started playing and hopping on her hind legs. It was as if she knew that she finally was home!

She loves toys and especially treat bags.

Grave Digger is not the only kitty with the condition at the sanctuary. Truckasuarus the cat (aka Emmy Lou Sugarbean) looks like her twin sister from another mother.

"She came to live with us so she could have a full wonderful life with other 'special abled' kitties," Karyn told Love Meow.

"She's a bit grumpy, likely hasn't been around too many other kitties, but she's learning to love her feline roommates."

It took the sweet kitty quite the journey to find someone to love.

Now she's found it and she couldn't be happier!
