A worker came across a cat with few teeth, a bent ear, and a heart of gold, and knew he deserved a better life.

Steve, the cat, was found living among a colony of strays, looking rough around the edges with a bent ear.
A kind person who worked nearby saw the cat in poor shape and knew he needed immediate intervention. They quickly brought him to safety and got him vetted, fixed, and microchipped.
Wanting the best for Steve, they contacted Thrifted Kittens Animal Rescue for help.

"When we saw his face, we instantly fell in love and offered our assistance," Thrifted Kittens Animal Rescue shared.
Street life hadn't been kind to Steve, who arrived at the rescue with infections, but his spirit remained unbroken. They discovered he was partially blind due to a condition causing cloudiness in his eyes, but that didn't dampen his love for life.

After his treatments, he was left with just four teeth and a tongue that always stuck out, adding to his charm. Even with less energy than a kitten, his gentle, loving nature always shone through.
The moment he started feeling better, he was eager to shower his foster mom, Haley, with cuddles and befriend every kitten he met.

Steve loved snuggling on Haley's shoulder, pressing his face close to hers for extra coziness. Sometimes, he'd wrap his paws around her like he was giving a hug.
He greeted everyone with his handsome good looks and never missed a chance to bask in the affection. Overjoyed to be indoors, he no longer had to worry about being alone or where his next meal would come from.

As he recovered, Steve rediscovered his playful side, enthusiastically tackling the cat scratcher and romping around with younger cats as if he were a kitten again.
Once Steve was available for adoption, the rescue was committed to finding him his ideal home. A veterinarian at MADACC fell head over heels for the sweet boy and submitted an application, which turned out to be the perfect match.

"Though he will likely always look like he is made of spare parts, he is absolutely thriving."
Steve quickly settled into his new home, excited to meet his canine and feline siblings. His friendly, easygoing personality drew them in, and before long, they were all hanging out as if Steve had always been part of their crew.

Despite his limited vision and few teeth, Steve can do whatever he sets his mind to.
Noticing the tall cat tree, he confidently made his way to the top, delighting everyone who passed by with his irresistibly cute face, soft purrs, and tiny, squeaky meows. He soaked up the sunlight pouring through the windows, feeling its warmth like a hug.
