The little feline from the video has a ritual every time he goes to drink water. He will dig and plow the ground with all his legs when he smells the water from a bowl. Once that ritual is complete, the cat will start drinking.
I wonder what caused this very intriguing behavior. I know cats are creatures of habits and they possess certain predator instinct similar to their cousins, the big cats. Is the "dance" triggered by the texture or temperature of the water which sends out a tingling sensation to the cat or is the cat simply plowing to create more room for him to get a better reach for the water?
Whatever reason that might be, this kitten is truly cute and fun to watch.
