This is an interesting door hanger cat toy.
The Fling-ama-String is an automated-battery operated cat toy. It can be placed on any standard door knob to give your kitties hours of fun. It works by flinging out a string and quickly pulling it back in. This of course will drive your cat crazy, trying to catch and hold onto the string. The device comes with a security strap to wrap around the bottom of the door so even a very strong kitty won’t be able to pull it off from the door. It has two speeds of operation that will entice any kitty to play with it. The Fling-ama-string requires no assembly and runs on 3 AA batteries.

It is a cool toy, but you really have to keep a close eye on the cats, especially if they like to eat string! Mine chewed the string off, one ate a little bit of it before I could stop him, but thankfully not enough to cause problems.
They did have fun with it while it lasted, though!
I,too,purchased this over priced toy.
Having 4 cats (3 under 3 yrs), I thought they would use it. NO!!! My youngest did for a day or so, but then one time I did get her to play. She started to swallow the string. After pulling it out of her mouth, I threw this toy in the garbage. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!
