I tend to be a bit suspicious of the "human-like" cat poses one finds in these types of pictures. If you look closely, it seems this window is above the tree-line. I may be mistaken. My first impression is that whoever took the picture set the cat that way, and took the shot. If this is above the tree line, it's not likely that the cat would sit this way voluntarily. Sorry to be such a spoil sport…. skeptic.

Then you obviously haven't seen the standing cat video on youtube have you? Actually some cats to develop "human-like" behaviors like sitting on their bottom or standing up straight, but its usually only for a reason. Like the standing cat always stood up because its owners had blocked the window and it could never see out the window without standing on the coach.
