Ally's baby, 2 weeks old
Ally, a stray cat lived outside for some time until one day she was found pregnant. “Fortunately some very nice and caring people have been feeding her and contacted the Toronto Cat Rescue,” says Christine Gittings, an experienced fosterer. On April 2nd, Ally arrived in her foster home. Christine and her family was not sure when Ally would go into labor, so they had everything prepped for the mama cat and her babies.
Finally the kittens arrived 2 weeks later. “There are 5 in total. The entire thing took about 2 1/2 hours… Ally was awesome and she and her kittens all seem to be doing very well,” Christine adds.
It will take some time until Christine is able to determine their sexes. She is planning on naming them later. In the meantime, the kittens are thriving and can’t wait to grow up and explore. Ally the sweet mama cat is doing a wonderful job for her babies. With all 5 little ones nursing by her side, she feels like the happiest mom in the world.

I just stopped by your blog and was thrilled to find the posting re our wonderful foster kids. It was an incredible opportunity to watch their birth and see how much they've grown in only a couple of weeks. Ally is a wonderful Mom.
