When my partner and I went to the animal shelter to look for a kitten for my parents, they were very specific–they wanted an all-black female kitten. So why did that adult dilute ginger cat catch my eye from across the room? When I asked to hold him he hugged my around the neck, and did the same to my partner. Needless to say, we went home with an adult cat (but no kitten for my parents). That is the only time Otis has done it, however.

I wish I could find words that are different from everyone else’s comments … but “sweet” just about says it all. It brought tears to my eyes. My old cat Rocky (19) passed away in June, and I still haven’t been able to go adopt another cat. (:<)
