These little orphan kitties love holding their bottle when they eat. “They are used to it and won’t accept the bottle the other way as well. They are five weeks old now and healthy and happy. The little white faced kitten is eating big kitten food now but still likes her bottle afterwards. The other two will not even try to eat yet. Still very much bottle babies. We hope to find good homes for them…,” said Angie.

That is adorable but the fact is you should never allow kittens to feed from a bottle on their back as the milk can make it’s way into their lungs and cause sudden death from pneumonia. Kittens should always be either on their stomachs or on their butts in a sitting up position to feed from a bottle or syringe

Kittens squiggle & wiggle around & some end upside down when they nurse from their mothers. They fit in there any way they can. They all look pretty good to me. I suppose in an ideal world it would be *best* if they could all be positioned properly, but I am glad they have someone to give them sustenance.
That’s how my Griffin insisted on having his bottle, too. He’d take it right out of my hands, grip it with all four feet, and roll onto his back.
