A cat named Kuzya has taken the position as the assistant librarian at a children's library in Russia. Just like Dewey the Library Cat, Kuzya is a former stray who showed up at the library's door one day and made it his home. "After arching his back and running his face along people's legs he was able to procure food and (secretly) a warm place to spend cold winter days," Rocket News 24 reports.

It wasn't easy for Kuzya to become a permanent resident in the library as he lacked the proper documents to be kept in a public place. He would need a cat passport, an ID chip and a rabies vaccination.

The dapper looking library cat just got promoted to be the official assistant librarian from the previous title "pet" for his cuteness, good work ethic, and the joy he brings to everyone in the library. He is awarded with 30 packs of cat food a month and plenty of cat treats as bonuses from staff and visitors.

Kuzya's job duties include sleeping, supervising staff, looking cute and entertaining visitors.
