Pickles the cat was once abandoned and had a hard time finding a home because of his size until he met a couple who have a heart and home big enough to take him in.
He was nicknamed Catasaurus Rex when he was put up for adoption. Weighing in 21 lbs for about 3 feet long, Pickles is larger than some dogs. Because of his enormous appetite, he was forced out of his home, looking for food scraps. But now Pickles has finally found a home and humans that love him to bits despite his size and the way he is.
It was love at first sight when Andrew Milicia and girlfriend Emily Zarvos saw Pickles at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals last month. "When we first saw Pickles he looked like such a beast - but he looked really cool. He's actually bigger than some dogs. It didn't take him long to make himself at home and now he takes up most of the couch when he's laid out," said Andrew.
"He doesn't realize his size so he'll knock things over all the time - he's so clumsy. But it's like so hard to be mad at him - he think he's just like a little kitten still."
It is thought that Pickles might be part Maine Coon. "He's like kind of like a dog when it comes to food - he'll come in and sit right in front of you and just stare at you until the plates gone," said Emily.
"I'm so happy we have him, he's the best pet you could hope for," she added. [Watch video below]
