This ginger cat is quite special. He survived living on the streets for two years blind! Now this wonder cat is living like a king, happy healthy, and loved! This is what a second chance can do!
Meet Mr. Magoo aka Gooey or Goo!

He was born with microphthalmia in which his eyes and lids did not fully develop.
Mr. Magoo was taken in by animal control and brought to the shelter in very poor shape. "He was unable to eat much less breathe and was extremely dehydrated," Colleen Angstadt told Love Meow.
His prospect wasn't looking good as he was placed on Philly's Urgent Page. That's when Angstadt saw Goo's story through a post shared by Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary. She set out a mission to rescue the kitty.

After a lot of phone calls, emails and efforts, she finally got the kitty into her safe home. "I knew right then and there we made the right decision, he needed us and we needed him."
Just 3 days after he moved into his new home, Goo felt much better. "I was amazed by his progress and his sheer will," Angstadt told Love Meow.

Three months later, he was running and playing like a normal cat. "It brings tears to my eyes as I remember picking him up from the shelter sick, bloody and listless. It still amazes me what love and nurturing will do for one's soul and well being."
