In New York City, there lives a majestic cat named Samson. He weighs at 27 lbs and is purrfectly healthy. He's just a large Maine Coon, and perhaps, the largest kitty in the city.

"Samson is a very sweet but a tough cat, who fits the term gentle giant very well," Jonathan Zurbel, Samson's human dad, told Love Meow.
This 5-year-old Maine Coon is the size of a fully grown bobcat (or bigger) at around 4 feet in length. "He is not fat or overweight but a strong Husky sturdy cat," the cat dad said.
The magnificent feline may just have a chance to be the largest cat in the world. Mymains Stewart Gilligan (Stewie, passed away in 2013), the current Guinness World record holder, was measured at 48.5 inches (4.04 feet). (More: Tallest cat and longest tail cat)

Samson is quite a character. He loves to play fetch, and follows his humans from room to room and finds a spot nearby where he will sit and keep them company.
"When nobody is looking, he'd love to sleep in my bed and cuddle with me," Zurbel told Love Meow. "He loves to have his belly pet."

Zurbel adopted Samson from his brother who couldn't keep the cat due to work schedule. When Zurbel met Samson, it was love at first sight.
Even as a kitten, he was a big kitty with large ears.

Now at 5 years old, Samson has grown into the biggest cat they have ever seen, and he is as sweet as he can be.

Samson can barely fit in a normal sized stroller.

When he naps, he takes up almost half of his human's bed.

This colossal kitty is Zurbel's most loyal and affectionate companion.
"He waits by my (bedroom) door and comes in first thing in the morning to sit on my belly," Zurbel said to Love Meow. "He purrs up a storm and he loves to massage my belly."

"He is very kind and sweet and a very well behaved cat," Zurbel told Love Meow. "He is a dream cat."
